Grammy Award organisers have announced that they will reveal 2009 nominees during a primetime US television special for the very first time this year.
The 'Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!' will take place on December 3 at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles and feature performances from past Grammy winners as well as nominee announcements.
The event will also celebrate the grand opening of the Grammy Museum at the downtown Los Angeles entertainment complex that houses the Nokia Theatre, Club Nokia and the Staples Center, where the Grammy Awards are held each year.
In addition to watching the Grammy nominations telecast on CBS television, fans can buy tickets to attend the event via Ticketmaster beginning October 27. Performers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
The 51st Annual Grammy Awards ceremony is set to take place in Los Angeles on February 8, 2009.
