McCartney and Bruce continue to rule the headlines

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced a 26-date North American tour in support of the new album Working On A Dream. Tickets for most of the dates will go on sale on Monday, February 2nd, but select cities -- Greensboro, North Carolina; Toronto; Austin, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma and Houston, Texas -- will go on sale on Friday, February 6th. Additional shows, including the usual pre-tour "open rehearsals" in Asbury Park, New Jersey, will most likely to be announced in the coming weeks. Log on to backstreets.com for updates and time of sale for all the shows.

Nils Lofgren says that with 2007's Magic and now Working On A Dream, Springsteen is riding a crest of creativity he hasn't seen in many years: "This is certainly the closest two albums have come out in his history with the E Street Band. And that usually speaks to an excitement that is born of writing first. And he's as great a writer as there's ever been in history. So I think it reflects throughout the whole record. Yeah, great production, great musicianship, great singing -- but that's a given."
